Nickie has been in the education industry for over 20 years. After a short tenure with a local bank, Nickie taught marketing in a college before joining GTI Media, a graduate careers publisher and research company headquartered in the UK. Nickie was responsible for growing the business from two print titles and one website to over 20 print titles and three websites in ten years. She was also responsible for developing partnerships with universities and employers in China, Hong Kong and Singapore. In addition, she organised successful careers advice seminars for university careers advisers and postgraduate study exhibitions, and launched the Malaysia’s 100 Top Graduate Employers Awards that has become a well-known brand today. Nickie has a degree in finance & marketing from University of Oregon and an MBA from University of Missouri-Kansas City in the US.

Nickie co-founded Mint with Michele in 2012 and their mission is to connect parents and their children with international schools. They also wish to inspire parents to find the best education option for their children.

While providing language and learning services to students at Monash University, Michele was headhunted to lead the editorial team at GTI Media that had just started the Malaysian operations. Over the years at GTI, Michele was managing editor, general manager, and regional publishing director and head of research. Michele has conducted workshops and given talks on personal development, and choosing courses and careers, to students in schools and universities, including students in international schools, and working professionals. Michele has a first degree in Education and a Master of ESL from University of Malaya; an MPhil in Psychology and Education from University of Cambridge, and a PhD in Applied Psychology from the University of Nottingham in the UK. Her passion is helping people make better decisions about their future.
